Getting your writing into print and on sale on the web
We’ve set up Root Creations with a view to leading you through the process of getting your book into print. If you run a writers’ group and would like an anthology of your members’ work, or if you’re a poet, short story writer, novelist or compiling your memoirs we think you’d find us jolly useful. The process is straightforward and easy to do. You send your work as a word doc and we do the rest including sending you a free pdf proof. If you have a photo you want to use for the cover we can include that in our cover design service or we can design an individual cover for your book.
The books we produce for you are just like the high quality we produce for our anthologies:
100gsm bookwove paper (that’s quite thick and classy)
Perfect bond (with a spine)
Glossy full colour cover
Free ISBN
Free Barcode
But that’s not the most exciting bit. We are offering to sell your book for you via your very own web-page on the Leaf Books website.
Charges for Root Creation Printing Service
Up to 50 pages: (Often a poetry collection)
First 25 copies £6.00/copy + P&P
Further copies £5.00/copy + P&P (must be ordered in batches of 25)
Up to 100 pages: (Often a short story collection)
First 25 copies £6.50/copy + P&P
Further copies £5.50/copy + P&P (must be ordered in batches of 25)
Up to 150 pages: (Often a short story collection, memoirs or novella)
First 25 copies £7.50/copy + P&P
Further copies £6.50/copy + P&P (must be ordered in batches of 25)
Up to 200 pages: (Often a novel)
First 25 copies £8.00/copy + P&P
Further copies £7.00/copy + P&P (must be ordered in batches of 25)
This includes layout, typesetting, a proof pdf, free ISBN and free Barcode.
Word documents supplied to us should be print-ready and fully proofed. If you would like us to proof them we can, but we do charge for that service.
NB there are usually about 300 words per page

A choice of 3 designs from our designer - £200
The format we usually use is a Demi format (129mm x 198mm) gloss colour laminate cover, perfect bound, on 100gsm bookwove paper (that’s quite thick and classy). Most of our latest anthologies are in this format.
Printing service Style Sheet (tips for formatting your work ready to have it printed)
Do you write short stories? Do you have a collection or a favourite you would like printed? Leaf Books printing service is offering to print your stories from as little as £5 per copy (£6 for the first 25 copies). You can have a minimum print run of only 25 copies, ideal for friends and family, or as many as you like to sell to the wider world.

Poetry Pamphlet Offer
Are you gathering together your poetry collection? Want to have it printed as a classy properly bond book? We’ve had a number people enquire as to what we can do. This is what we’ve come up with:
50 pages (so that includes contents, poems, verso page, etc) you can download a word template document here to help you format your work for print.
£6.00 per copy for the first 25 copies (minimum order)
Following copies £5 per copy (to be ordered in batches of 25 minimum)
This includes all typesetting services, you just send us the poems, blurbs etc. We turn them into a book, send you a free pdf proof.
