John Feakins
John Feakins is sixty-seven and single. He grew up in London and studied languages and literature. He spent forty years teaching EFL in the UK and abroad. His hobbies include walking, history, especially The Second World War, cooking, Real Ale and watching rugby. In the last six years he has entered poetry competitions and won runners-up prizes at the Bridport and Strokestown Poetry Festivals. He has had poems published in a number of magazines, including Brittle Star. His next ambition is to get a pamphlet published and also to write comic novels and short stories.
