Launched in Spring 2010, The Leaf Writers’ Magazine is a regular resource and lively read for all established and emerging writers and students of creative writing. Packed with interviews with authors, news and reviews, advice and activities, ideas, advice and inspiration, whilst also showcasing the most exceptional work sent to Leaf via our creative writing competitions. Essentially it's a platform to promote, encourage and excite writers.

Leaf Writers’ Magazine is a grass roots publication , inviting participation from its own audience and thus creating a network of contributors and readers. New and established writers will have the chance to have their work published and read by a wide-ranging audience.

The regular Write about Writing section discusses the writing process – habits, ideas and the challenge of putting pen to paper. You can submit your article for consideration by entering the Write about Writing Competition.

We also bring you interviews with well-known and prize-winning authors , and have some exciting people lined up for the 2010 issues. You can find out how they gave up the day job to write full time, creative facts about how they got started and what inspires them most. There’ll also be commentaries by successful entrants of our own competitions on how they came to write their winning pieces – a great resource for anyone who wants to get a sense of what a publishing company such as Leaf might be looking for.

There is a Free classifieds section as well as advertising opportunities so if you are running a festival, creative writing course, poetry club or project, send us 50 words or so to promote your literary endeavours. If you want a bigger advert then see the advertising rates.

The Leaf Writers’ Magazine will be published 3 times per year – in April, August and December. It will be available to purchase from the Leaf website, selected bookshops and even in your local library. Why not encourage them to subscribe?
