Moira Andrew is an ex-primary head teacher, now full-time freelance writer. Until her recent move to Cornwall, she was a part-time lecturer at the University of Glamorgan, contributing to the ‘Writing for Children’ course. She is a children’s poet and has written a number of books for teachers, all concerned with literacy: Language in Colour, Paint a Poem, Language into Legend, Tell me a Tale and others from Belair/Folens. She is a regular contributor to Scholastic publications for teachers. Her poems are published by OUP, Macmillan, Nelson and others. Her most recent book of poetry for adults is This year, next year (Marvin Katz Press, 2004).
